The rainy season from May to July is the best time to view waterfalls in Guizhou.

 

每年五月到七月的雨季，是贵州的最佳观瀑时间。

 

Guizhou is located in a hilly region, and 92.5% of its total provincial area is mountainous. The province’s landscape is characterized by numerous mountains and waterfalls, most of which are free to visit!

 

贵州属山地丘陵地区，山地面积占全省总面积的92.5%。这里山峦环绕，无数大小瀑布坐落其间。如果你想欣赏这些瀑布，通常是不需要门票的，因为它们随处可见。

 

Now you can guess that today we’ll be showing you waterfalls in Guizhou. Recently, I discovered a very niche waterfall in Qianxi City; it’s called ‘Three Stone Cascade’ by the local residents.

 

大家想必都猜到了，今天要分享的主题与瀑布有关。前段时间，我在黔西找到了非常小众的瀑布，它被当地人称作“三块石”。

 

Three Stone Cascade consists of three levels of waterfalls. When you look up, you can see the river running with astonishing force, cascading down rock walls. If you are visiting during the rainy season, you’ll be able to see the most beautiful scenery. However, during the dry season, the water flow will diminish due to the reduced level of rainfall.

 

三块石瀑布共有三级，抬头仰望，你会看见水流以惊人的冲击力，顺着岩壁倾泻而下。如果恰逢雨季，你会幸运地欣赏到最美的景致；若逢旱季，瀑布水流会因缺水而显著减少。

 

We arrived in the rainy season. The water crashed with powerful force, splashing droplets up to a hundred meters away. The rushing water made a deafening roar, audible even several kilometers away. In the dry season, the continuous flow of water reduces to several scattered streams, trickling down from the cliffs and flowing gracefully and charmingly like the long hair of fairies.

 

我们抵达时，正好是涨水期。水流以澎湃汹涌之势奔腾而下，飞溅的水花可达百米范围。水流隆隆声震耳欲聋，甚至几公里外都依稀可闻。不过，我也听说，三块石在旱季时，原本连绵不断的水流会变成几条分散的小溪，从悬崖峭壁上缓缓飘落，犹如仙女的长发一般优雅迷人。

 

Guizhou’s waterfalls are truly a gift from nature.

 

听闻“百变”瀑布，我不禁感叹，“”这不愧是大自然的馈赠！
