China Eastern Airlines received its eighth C919 jetliner from manufacturer Commercial Aircraft Corp of China, or COMAC, on Monday afternoon in Shanghai, ensuring its fleet of C919s continues to expand, according to the Shanghai-based carrier that is the first global customer of the C919.

中国东方航空公司(China Eastern Airlines)是C919的首个全球客户，近日，该公司第8架国产C919客机正式交付，确保了C919机队的规模继续扩大。

In accordance with the schedule, the new jet will start to carry out commercial flights during the week-long National Day holiday, said China Eastern.

根据计划，这架C919将在即将到来的“十一”国庆假期期间承担商业航班，进一步丰富了东航的机队配置。

As the first customer and operator of China's first self-developed narrow-body jet, China Eastern has received four C919 aircraft so far this year.

作为中国首架自主研发的窄体客机的首个客户和运营商，东航今年已接收了4架C919飞机。
