The Beijing Municipal Archives will release around 30,000 files to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which falls on Oct 1.

2024年是新中国成立75周年，记者从北京市档案馆获悉，北京市档案馆计划分两批向社会开放10个全宗约3万件档案。

Among them are more than 3,000 files recording the capital's preparations from 1951 to 1999 for the celebrations of the National Day and International Workers' Day, falling annually on May 1, including reception plans, event arrangements, work briefings and summaries, and sketches of parade layouts.

其中有首都庆祝“十一”“五一”筹委会、首都大型群众集会指挥部联合全宗（99全宗），该全宗由首都庆祝中华人民共和国国庆节筹委会和首都庆祝五一国际劳动节筹委会、首都百万群众庆祝大会指挥部等8个临时机构的档案组成。此次开放的档案包括1951年至1999年的档案3532件，主要内容有：接待工作计划、总结、组织方案、会议纪要、工作简报和游行队伍示意图等。

Highlighted in the exhibition are design sketches and models of 32 parade floats that glided through Tian'anmen Square during major National Day celebrations.

同时，精选了32组国庆彩车模型与200余份档案、照片、视频等，再现了中华人民共和国成立以来多次国庆庆典的精彩瞬间。

The first batch of around 16,800 files were released in June to celebrate International Archives Day on June 9, while the rest will be made public before the National Day holiday, according to Liu Li, deputy director of the municipal archives.

据悉，为庆祝6月9日的国际档案日，第一批约16800份文件于6月公布，其余将在国庆节前公布。
